"The Kansas City Star [Kansas City, Missouri], 11 May 1936," p. 1: "James Prosser, 63 years old, manager of the egg department of the Cromwell Butter and Egg Company, 114 East Missouri avenue, was killed today in an unusual accident in the basement of the Cromwell warehouse. Fellow employees said Prosser apparently became entangled in a web belt of an ice machine and was thrown against it. Prosser's death was discovered by Charles Hamam, 1646 Jackson avenue, and Jesse Coughenour, 2428 Norton avenue, who were seeking instruction from him. He leaves his widow, Mrs Grace Prosser of the home at Overland Park; a son, F. A. Prosser, also of Overland Park; a daughter, Mrs. Adrienne Pryor, 3752 Wabash avenue; a brother, E. A. Prosser, Chillicothe; and three sisters, Mrs. William McDaniel, Mrs. C. W. Rhinehart and Mrs. William Stafford, all of Overland Park."
