Besides his mother of Machias, he is survived by one son, Donald of Freehold, N.J.; two daughters, Barbara Duffek, Tampa, Fla., Linda Hockenberry, New Cumberland, Pa.; two brothers, Robert of Marshfield, Carlton of East Machias; one sister, Jean Rutherford of Calais; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews."

[13461] Robert Nelson wrote 1/98 via Internet: All descendents of Edward and death and marriage dates and locations recorded in the Shinn/Wilson/Nelson family bible (1827) which is in my possession. In addition, Edward and Rosanna are buried at the North Star Cemetery, in North Star, MI. Edward's parents, listed in his marriage record, are L. F. Nelson and T. M. Wilson. Edward r. Lansing, MI at the time of the 1910 federal census which lists him as an employee of a carpet store. "Lansing State Journal, 16 January 1943," p. 5: "Edward Lyman Nelson, 54. died at the home, 118 Allen street Friday: He is survived by the widow, Anna; two sons. Kenneth and Harold, L., of Lansing; a daughter. Mrs. Leon a R. Gilbert of Pontiac; three grandchildren; a brother. Frank Nelson of Alma, and a sister, Mrs. Leona Henry of North Star. Mr. Nelson had been in the coal and gasoline business in Lansing for the past 25 years, and was a member of the South Street Church of God. . . . Interment will be at North Star."
