[15346] Benjamin was an Ensign (1 June-11 Nov 1725), Selectman at Falmouth (1727). He m. (1) at Gloucester 11 May 1711 Mary Hunt (daughter of William Hunt and Sarah Newman) - they had four sons and five daughters; their son Joseph (b. 30 July 1725 at Falmouth) was Lt. Col. in the French and Indian War at Crown Point 22 June 1759 and in 1764 innkeeper of "The Bunch of Grapes" tavern in Boston, MA - it was a meeting place of "Patriots" and the "Tea Party" is said to have been planned there in 1773. {Cf.
