He married Margaret Cuppy [nee Parker] in 1754 in Morris, New Jersey. They had nine [known] children in 23 years. He died in September 1802 in Brooke, West Virginia, at the age of 72. When Margaret Cuppy [nee Parker] was born in 1736 in Morristown, New Jersey, her father, John, was 20, and her mother, Elizabeth, was 42. . . . . She died in December 1816 in Brooke, West Virginia, having lived a long life of 80 years."

PA' (Doc. #1508), but her b.date is one yr. later than her oldest son John! Dorla STORK of Bakersfield, CA says her parents are Jonas LARUE and Barbara ZELLER and gives her ancestry & 9 children's names (Doc. #1720). GenCircles submission by Steve Northsea citing The Pennsylvania Genealogical Magazine - Vol.27 No.2 1971 page 100 vi says: Barbara Elizabeth Zeller, b. ca 1720; d. after 1760; m. 1738, Jonas Lerew (Lerue, Larue, Le Rouch, Laroux), bapt. 24 June 1716; d. Intestate in Paxton Township, Lancaster Co., 1 January 1760, s/o Jonas Laroux. (42) In 1742 his father granted him 60 acres on Tulehocken Creek, and 150 acres to his brother George Lerue. In 1751 Jonas Lerue, Jr. of Paxtang, and his wife Barbara with George Lerue of E. Caln, Chester Co, sold their tracts to Michael Copenhaven. On May 4, 1760, George Lerue conveyed to the widow Barbara and her minor children: Henry, Catherine, Francis, Mary, George, Elizabeth, and Margaret, 135 acres in Paxton Township which George had sold to his brother Jonas in 1753, but had made no deed before Jonas had died. Of the Lerue children, they were baptized at Trinty Reformed Church, Tulehocken: John George Lerue, January 1749, sponsor 'J.G.Zoeller; 'Elizabeth, 2 Jun 1754, as daughter of Jonas le Rouch and Anna Barbara Elizabeth, sponsored by Andrew Salzgeber and Elizabeth Ferrer, single'."

"News-Journal [Mansfield, Ohio], 6 February 1996," p. 12: "Ashland - Ethel C. Jewell 83, of 1272 Township Road 653, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 1996 at home after a short illness. She was born Jan. 20, 1913 in Wooster to Allem and Mae Wolbaugh. She was a homemaker and gardener. She was a member of Lakefork United Methodist Church and the church's Ladies Aid. She is survived by a daughter, Norma Conery of Ashland; three granddaughters, Linda Brinker, Lori Henthorn and Tami Norris, all of Ashland; a grandson, Scott Conery of, Ashland; 14 greatgrandchildren; and a brother, Ralph Wolbaugh of Shelby. She was preceded in death in 1993 by her husband, Melvin W. Jewell whom she married in March 1933; and three sisters. Calling hours will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Heyl Funeral Home, 227 Broad St., where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Don Young and the Rev. Bill Schaefer. Burial will be in Jeromesville Cemetery."
