His information is from the unverified Find A Grave memorial 143620618. The unverified Galliher Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2012 states he is son of Robert Beckwith (1540-1585) and Jennet _____ (b. ca. 1540). Burke's "The Extinct & Dormant Baronetcies of England" lists Marmaduke and his ancestry. Cf. https://www.geni.com/people/Marmaduke-Beckwith-1529-1597 which states he is Marmaduke Thomas Beckwith, 1529-1597. [2347] His brother is the famous Godfrey of Boulogne, a leader of the first Crusade in 1096 and first ruler in Jerusalem (d. in July, 1100). http://www.danbyrnes.com.au/lostworlds/features/women.htm offers: "Crusader Eustace IV (1059-1125), Count of Boulogne, brother of Godfrey above, also of Pas-de-Calais. Spouse, Mary Canmore Stuart (died 1116), daughter of Malcolm III Canmore/Stuart (died 1093), King Scotland, and Saint Margaret of Wessex (died 1093). (Her death date here in Runciman, Vol. 2, p. 143 and Outremer tables.) References on Mary: Barlow, Feudal Kingdom, tables . Caroline Bingham, Warren, Henry II, table. Eustace IV and Mary had a daughter Matilda (died 1152), Countess Boulogne, who married Stephen, King of England. However, he is given as Eustace III, Count Boulogne in a website by David Beckwith website and is Eustace III in Runciman, Vol. 1, p. 145. Discrepancy as in Runciman, Vol. 2, p. 143 and table. Is he Eustace IV as his father is Eustace III? References: Williston Walker, History of Christianity, pp. 220-211." Cf. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eustace_III_of_Boulogne.

[1645] His brother Eochy III ruled about 721-33. http://members.tripod.com/~Halfmoon/pict2.html offers: "...in the nearly forty years since Dalriada had been wasted by Oengus, the Scots had been rebuilding under the leadership of Aed Finn, son of Eochaid, who by 768 was invading the Pictish territories again. However, a blanket of historical darkness engulfs both Pictish and Scottish history though the latter years of the eight century and the ninth. Nonetheless, according to 'The Annals of Tigernach,' no less that 150 Pictish ships were wrecked by a storm near Ross Crussini, perhaps a hint of a war fleet raised against northern enemies. We also know that Aed Finn repealed Pictish laws and managed to regain freedom for the Scots in 768, and by the time of his death, Dalriada was independent again."
