Adelæ comitissæ, Milonis comitis filii eius' subscribed the charter dated 8 Sep 975 under which 'Adelelmus miles' donated property to Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire for the souls of 'genitore meo Rotberto et genitrice mea Bertha et . . . Burcardo'. Comte de Tonnerre. He and his wife restored the monastery of St Michel de Tonnerre to aregular life in 980. He retired to become a monk at St Michel de Tonnerre. m Ingeltrude, daughter of ---. She and her husband restored the monastery of St Michel de Tonnerre to a regular life in 980. According to Europäische Stammtafeln, she was Ingeltrude de Brienne, possible daughter of Engelbert [I] de Brienne, but the basis for this speculation has not been found." [53013] James is son of Lionel Douglas Stanley (1894-1967) & Estella Margaret Ham (1892-1983; m. 5 May 1915 in Maine). His obituary: "James W. Stanley, 91, died October 16, 2007 at MDI Hospital. He was born November 22, 1915 in Bar Harbor, the son of Lionel and Estella (Ham) Stanley. James served as a medical supply clerk, in the Pacific, during WWII. He worked as a lobster fisherman for many years. James was a great carpenter and boat builder, he worked for Harold MacQuin and helped build the Duck Brook Bridge. James also enjoyed gardening and hunting. He was one of the original 6 stockholders of the Rock Crossing Lodge. He is survived by his son, Gary W. Stanley and wife, Kathy of Lamoine and his daughter, Gail and her husband, Carroll Leland of Town Hill. Grandchildren; Tyler W. Stanley and Maggie Stanley, both of Portland, Emma Stanley of Lamoine, Christopher T. Leland and David J. Leland and wife, Missy, all of Trenton and Mary A. Leland of Town Hill. James was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Alfreda (Strout) Stanley in 2004 and an infant daughter, Mary Helen."
