[50455] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 12 February 2013": "Bangor - Priscilla V. Rokes, 88, passed away peacefully Feb. 9, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 23, 1924, in Bangor, the daughter of Elmer and Ester (Hamlin) Mayhew. She is survived by her children, Dalbert Mayhew, Scott Rokes, Dawn Lee, Judith Rokes, Richard Rokes Jr., and Earle 'Sonny' Rokes; a brother, Frederick Mayhew; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews."
12 May 2010 Kay Smith attached to the Ron Smith Family tree in Ancestry.com: "Valentin Paul, born 2 Feb. 1765 (son of Valentin Paul, born 1735 in Germany) the former immigrated to the US probably in the latter part of the 1700's. Initially he settled in Northampton County north of Philadelphia. He was a pioneer who migrated to Northumberland County probably in the late 1700's, and acquired land there. It is documented that he bought two additional tracts of land from Philip and Magd. Diehl. The property was near what is now Leck Kill, PA in the Mahantango Valley. He had several children by his wife Susanna Otto one of which was Michael who continues our ancestral line. Valentin is buried in the Howerter's Church Cemetery east of Leck Kill. The church is no longer standing having been destroyed by fire."
"From Genealogical and Biographical Annals of Northumberland County" - Floyd, 1911: "Valentine (known as 'Falty') Paul, the pioneer who settled in Northumberland county, in that district now embraced in the territory of Upper Mahanoy township, located at the source of the Greenbrier creek, and owned a large tract of land, some of which he cleared and put under cultivation. In 1805 he purchased 120 acres in Mahanoy (now Upper Mahanoy) township for 550 pounds lawful money 'truly in hand paid' from Philip and Magd. Diehl. The same year Philip and Magd. Diehl and their son Michael Diehl and his wife Magd. sold a second tract, lying adjacent to the one just mentioned, to Valentine Paul. He built a log house on what is now the farm of Peter H. Paul, and it was a very old structure when it was razed, in 1879. Valentine Paul was a member of the Reformed Church. He is buried at Howerters Church, but his grave is not marked. To him and his wife Susanna were born the following children: Benjamin, George, Michael, Valentine and Daniel."
