[38153] The "Chicago Tribune," 8 Jan 1907, p. 4: "O. W. Herrick, for Forty-six Years a Resident of Chicago, Succumbs to Rheumatism of the Heart. O. W. Herrick, president of the Avenue State bank of Oak Park, died of rheumatism of the heart last night in his home in the suburb, after an illness of three weeks. Mr. Herrick came to Chicago in 1860 and was for a time a member of the general assembly of the state. Besides a widow, he is survived by three sons, Dr. James B. Herrick, Willis D. Herrick, who is in the insurance business, and Walter D. Herrick, an attorney. He leaves also two daughters, Mrs. B. L. Goodwillie of Oak Park and Miss Julia Herrick."
