She was a native of the Ashland area, spending her life here, and was a member of the Polk Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband. Fred; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Jane) Cooper of Polk and Mrs. Arlen (Marilyn ) Hanley of Sullivan; two sons, Major Jerry W. Hartley with the U.S. Air Force in South Carolina and James P. of Ashland; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Miss Dorothy Briner and a brother, Milo Briner both of Ashland." Fannie's marriage record states employement at Eagle Rubber Co. in Ashland; the 1930 federal census states she is "Stamper, rubber factory". She and Fred also had two children who died quite young, Delores M. and Raymond Eugene.

Fritzinger, 74, of 5621 Fritzinger Road, Germansville, died Friday, Oct. 9, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Verna K. (Fries) Fritzinger. They were married for 51 years last December. He was a foreman for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in Lehigh County for 20 years until retiring in 1988. Previously, he was a maintenance man and laborer at the Lehigh Portland Cement Co., Allentown, for 24 years and a powder mixer at the former Trojan Powder Co., South Whitehall Township, for five years. Born in Heidelberg Township, he was a son of the late Clinton J. and Mary M. (Leiby) Fritzinger. He was a member and former deacon of the United Church of Christ congregation of Heidelberg Union Church. An Army veteran of World War II, he received the Purple Heart. He was a life member of Vernon G. Kern Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8344, Schnecksville, and a member of American Legion Post 945, Harrisburg and the Germansville and Fogelsville fire companies. Survivors: wife; sons, Glenn W. of Hampton, Va., and Terry L., at home, and three grandchildren."

[55198] "Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine]," 14 November 2023: "Steuben - George Featherston Holland, 89, of Steuben, passed on to meet the Lord on the morning of Nov. 5, 2023, at his home, after some sudden health complications. George was born Aug. 21,1934, to the late Wellington and Doris (Smith) Holland in Steuben, where he resided his whole life. He was a constable of Steuben, then for many years, a bus driver and custodian for the local school, before working at Wymans, where he spent the rest of his working days, prior to his retirement. Upon retirement, George began spending more time just being with family. He was a creative and skilled carpenter and farmer in his time and would often be found working in his garden. He enjoyed the outdoors his whole life, fishing, hunting and just exploring nature. George left behind a daughter, Elizabeth Hammond-Holland, who passed away just seven days later, on Nov. 12; her three children, Abbie, Justin, and Alycia Hammond; two nephews, Steve Burgess and his son, Corey, along with Corey's mother, Megan, and Alan Burgess and his wife, Brooke, along with their two sons, Keith and Brayden. George was predeceased by his first wife, Irma (Fickett) Holland in 2004, and by his second wife, Alvina Holland in 2015. He was also predeceased by his younger sister, Elizabeth 'Betty' Burgess in 2022."
