[13771] "The Daily Item [Sunbury, PA], 6 October 1960," p. 6: "Funeral services were held today for Mrs. Edna L. Seiler, 66, Mt. Joy, former Selinsgrove resident and native of Bloomsburg, who died Monday after an illness of 18 months. She was the widow of Albert D. Seiler, Mt. Joy executive and civic leader, who died on a business trip April 20, 1958. In addition to a daughter, four grandchildren and four brothers and sisters, Mrs. Seiler is survived by two nieces in this area, Mrs. Marjorie Mitchell, of Selinsgrove, and Mrs. Horace W. Vought, Middleburg. Her husband, who was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Seiler, of Selinsgrove, operated a hardware store in Selinsgrove about 30 years ago. He moved to Mt. Joy and formed the Seiler Printing Co. which he operated until 1957. At the time of his dealth he was an official of Package Printers, Inc., and the Tripple Machine Co., Mt. Joy. A new elementary school in that community has been named for him."

[49762] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 21 Deceber 2021": "Jeffery Linwood Soper, age 64, passed away peacefully at his home in Orland, Maine, on December 9, 2021, surrounded by his family. The journey began on April 26, 1957, in Castine, ME, born the son of Howard E. Soper and wife, Marjorie D. (Brown) Soper. Jeff graduated from Bucksport High in 1975, and then went on to start his career in St. Regis Paper, where he would continue as a rigger and millwright for 30 years, until illness took him out of that line of work and then began his 'fishman' career selling lobster and haddock out of his home and sharing many recipes, stories and friendships with his clients. Jeff was a true hero and at 17 years old in a tragic campfire at Rocky Pond while in high school, he went into a burning camp and saved his best friend by carrying him out completely engulfed in flame burning himself severely in the process. He also saved a man choking in the mill. Jeff was an avid outdoorsman and had a tremendous love with fishing and hunting and was always the life of any group he encountered. Jeff leaves behind his beloved wife of 44 years, Robin; their 2 sons, Christopher Soper and fiancé, Jenny, and Casey Soper and wife, Helen; a daughter, Jennifer Saulnier and wife, Becky; sisters, Joyce Hanscom, Julie and Dick Philbrook, Barbara and John Roach, and Brenda and Tim Fowler; and his pride and joy grandchildren, Cameron, Samuall, Lillian Soper, Evan and Jacob Kelly."
