[303] Lois Kleinhenn Lanier of Laurel, MD (1996) also gives an Elizabeth (m. _____ Baker?) as a child of Christian and Anna. The list of children is from his will. Apparently Christian broke with his anabaptist background on the issue of military service, as he served in 1782 in Capt. Michael Leighner's Fourth Co., Fifth Battalion, in the York County Militia (PA Archives, 6th Ser., Vol. 2, pp. 534 and 675; cf. DAR Patriot Index [1966], p. 86) and NSSAR # 145210. The 1790 census of Codorus, York Co., PA shows his household: 1 male age 16 and up, 2 males under 16 and 3 females. The 1810 census of Codorus, York Co., PA shows his household: 3 males under age 10, 1 male 10 to 16, 1 male 16 to 18, 1 male 26 to 45, 3 females 16 to 26, 1 female 26 to 45.
