[43847] Find A Grave memorial 30536885 offers: "Jonathan was the son of John Cole and Mary Eaton of Reading, Mass. He was married first in Boxford, Mass. on 8 April 1724 to Judith (or Judah) BROWN, the daughter of Cornelius Brown and Susanna (Story) Clark. He was married second in Harvard, Mass. on 24 June 1747 to Sarah HOLT. Based on the members of the Holt family that appear in the Harvard records, it is likely that Sarah was the widow of Uriah Holt (1702-1741) who died in Lancaster, Mass. If so, then she is probably the Sarah Wright, b. Andover, Mass. 20 Mar 1696, daughter of Walter Wright and Elizabeth Sadie, who married in Andover 28 Sep 1725 Uriah Holt. Jonathan was taxed in Boxford from 1721 to 1744. In 1736 he was dismissed from the First Church in Boxford to help form the Second Church there. About 1745 he moved with his family to Harvard, Mass. and bought a 65-acre farm from Joseph Darby, located on the north side of Pine Hill Brook in Harvard. The year 1746 was a tragic time for Jonathan and his family; he lost his wife, his mother, and three children all within a period of seven weeks. His wife Judith and three children are buried in the Harvard, MA Cem., and buried near them is Deacon Caleb Brown, Judith's brother. Jonathan was officially dismissed by the Boxford Church to the Harvard Church on 7 Jun 1747. In May 1761 Jonathan deeded property to his son Abijah. Presumably this is about the time that he left Harvard and went to settle Westmoreland, New Hampshire, with several members of his family."

Shared by email 1/7/2000:
I found your genealogy page during a web search for KALBACH names. Your Adam KAHLBACH seems to be my very distant cousin, I am in contact with his direct descendants and will forward your page to them. I have some family relationship info on him, his ancestors, and his descendants. I'm still organizing and searching at a slow pace so do not have it in GEDCOM format yet (I'm still scribbling on paper). Much of this line is from the family history of this branch, and I don't have the paper to back it up yet. I do have complete confidence in it, and as soon as I have most of the relationships straight I'll start searching for documents.
ADAM KALBACH b.1740 - d.1801,
+ Maria Eva Spang, b.1745 - d.1818
9 (or 11, depending on source) childrern, including:
MICHAEL KALBACH
+ Magdelena ?????
3 children, including:
JOHN ADAM KALBACH, b.1788 - d. 1865 (?)
+ Sarah Wenrich
9 children, including:
ISAAC KALBACH
+Christina Koch
I do have the names of all the above children plus those of Isaac and Christina's descendants, which continue to those generations still living. My research goal is to show as completelly as possible the descendency of my ancestors, so far I have three distinctly separate branches, including mine, from that Adam (b.1740) Kalbach of Berks Co. Pa. I'll pass your website along to two branches of those descendants who I presume will be very interested to contact you. I'll gather up
all the stuff I have (I've been promising myself to do it each weekend) and send it to you as soon as I'm able.
Would you mind if I included parts of your research and information in my finished project?? I'll give appropriate credit to you of course, and do not plan to earn profit from my completed Kalbach project. I look forward to corresponding with you, and expect that my distant cousins may e-mail you as well.
Regards, Chris Kalbach (kal@alaska.net)
