[43846] Find A Grave memorial 110602975 offers: "Judith was the daughter of Cornelius Brown and Susanna (Story) Clark of Lynn, Reading, and Boxford, Mass. She was married in Boxford on 8 April 1724 to Jonathan Cole, the son of John Cole and Mary Eaton. The family moved from Boxford to Harvard, Mass. about 1745, and soon thereafter tragedy struck. Within a two month period in late 1746 Judith and three of her children died, leaving Jonathan a widower with several surviving children. He soon remarried, and later moved to Westmoreland, New Hampshire. Judith is buried here with her children, and near her brother, Deacon Caleb Brown."

[56127] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 23 March 2024: "Winter Harbor - Janet Gerrish Buffett went to meet her Lord and join her husband, Neil, on March 14, 2024. She was born Feb. 1, 1933, in Winter Harbor, ME, to Alton and Mary (Pendleton) Gerrish. Janet was raised on Guptill Point in Winter Harbor, with her brother, Joe Gerrish and graduated from the Winter Harbor High School. After high school, she went out to the big city of Boston, to attend school. During her absence from Winter Harbor, the Gerrish's rented a room to a young Navy man named Neil. Upon returning from school, Janet discovered the prize her parents had netted for her and set out to ensure he did not get away. Janet and Neil Buffett were married on Sept. 3, 1955, and then moved to New Hampshire, where Neil pursued his banking career. They soon started a family, welcoming Barbara, James (deceased), Mary and Lisa (deceased in infancy). They lived variously in Hanover, Etna, Newport, and Sunapee. After retirement they moved back to Winter Harbor. Janet was always very involved with her various church groups and always looked forward to the traditional Maine Bean Suppers. She was a skilled cook and baker and enjoyed baking pies for friends and events. She also enjoyed traveling, taking various trips with Neil to places including Alaska, Hawaii, and of course, multiple visits to her favorite place, Disney World! She did well to remain independent and active until the last months of her life, living in her own apartment until the Fall of 2023. She was predeceased by her husband of over 60 years, Neil; her son, James; and daughter, Lisa. She leaves two daughters, Mary Kachoris of Winter Harbor, and Barbara Parssinen and her husband, "T.," of Georges Mills, NH; along with grandchildren, Alyssa Parssinen, Brooks Parssinen, Adam Kachoris and his wife, Ami; and Janet's only great-grandchild, Mason Kachoris. A graveside service is planned for May 11 in Winter Harbor."

It eventually formed part of the dowry of Eleanor of Castile and passed to the English crown. Much fought-over in the Hundred Years' War , it eventually passed to the French crown, and the title Count of Ponthieu became a courtesy title for the royal family."
