Sha was born Dec. 21, 1901, in Exeter, the daughter of James and Charlotte (Howard) Seavay, the second child in a family of 10. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend She was always ready to lend a helping hand in a time of need. Amber had worked in local mills, St, Domonic's Nursing Home and the last 12 years of her working life she worked as a pastry cook in Mim and Herbie's 45th Parallel Restaurant. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Wassookeag Chapter No. 44 OES, the grange, a life member of the Star Club, a member of the Extension Group and an RSVP volunteer, She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Herbert Brooks of Dexter, a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Hutchins of Ripley; two sisters, Myrtle Knowles of Dexter and Barbara Sanders of Canaan; a brother, Calvin Seavey of Corinna; eight grandchildren, 18 greatgrandchildren, nine great-greatgrandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
