Mitchell of Brewer, and a daughter-in-law, Charlotte Beal of Jonesport. grandchildren, Paula and husband Dr. Ernesto Ballesteros of Bangor, Joy and husband Harry Stevens of Brewer, Scott Mitchell of Orrington, Brad and wife Brenda Mitchell, Muriel Pineo, Gary and wife Kathey Beal, Thomas and wife Karen Beal, and John Beal all of Jonesport, Nancy and husband Stanley Hooper of Blue Hill, Jill and husband Thomas Harrington of Exeter, Peter and wife Teresa Beal of Beals, and Glenda Davis and friend Joe of Franklin; 15 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Elva Crowley of Jonesport; six sisters-in-law; and two brothers-in-law; as well as many niecesl nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Arnold, her son, Alan and an infant grandbaby, and a great-great-grandbaby, two sisters, Leola Barnes and Phoebe Chandler, five brothers, John, James, Roosevelt, Arlin, and Lyman Beal, all of Jonesport. Phyllis was a faithful and active member of the Jonesport Wesleyan Church all of her life . . . "

"The South Bend Tribune [South Bend, Indiana], 8 June 1962," p. 6: "Howe - Ellsworth Owen Myers, 72, of Rt. 3, Howe, a retired farmer, died at 4 p.m Thursday in his home. Born Nov. 11, 1889, in South Milford, LaGrange County, he moved to Howe from Milan, Mich., in 1926. On July 1, 1916, in LaGrange, he married the former Sylvia Ernsberger, who survives. Other survivors are a son, Robert L, of Howe; a daughter, Mrs. Monroe DePew, of Ligonier; six grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. George Hamilton, of East Tawas, Mich. Friends may call in the Shoup Funeral Home, Howe from noon Saturday until the funeral services at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Brighton Chapel, east of Howe. Rev. Albert Curtright, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Brighton Chapel Cemetery, Mr. Myers was a member Brighton Chapel and the LaGrange County Farm Bureau."
