[58776] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine]," 11 Februaary 2025: "Sorrrento - Sandra Pearle (McCormick) Libby, 86, died at the hospital in Ellsworth on Feb. 4, 2025, surrounded by family. Sandra was born in Lincoln, Maine, on Sept. 2, 1938, to Pearle (Coffin) McCormick and Lester McCormick. She was the youngest of seven: Clifton, Dale, Nick and Norman McCormick, Priscilla Collier, and Laurel McFalls. Her childhood in Lincoln was filled with happy activity and the making of lifelong friendships. She loved music, the nearby lakes, her Girl Scout troop, babysitting, and going to movies and dances. Sandra married Ronald Wayne Libby of Lincoln in 1956 and graduated from Mattanawcook Academy that same year. The newlyweds lived in Connecticut until 1963, and settled in Sorrento in 1965, where they lived for the rest of their lives. Ron died there after a career with the Maine State Police and a happy retirement."
