Rita is survived by three sons, James Bladen and fiance, Lori Levasseur, of Eddington, Brian Steele and wife, Carol, of Belfast, Brett Steele and wife, Melissa, of Belfast; a sister, Thelma Fordham and husband, Warren, of South Carolina; grandchildren, Andrew Bladen, Jennifer Sanborn, Amanda Perkins, Brian Steele II, Nicholas Tibbetts, Michael Steele and Brittany Steele; five great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and special friends, Gerry Nilsen, Gilbert Bryant, Debbie Bryant and Ashley Bryant. At the time of his death, he was employed by Redlon and Johnson Plumbing Supply in Bangor. He is survived by his mother of Castine; his wife Peggy (Grindall) Wardwell of Penobscot; two sons, Jonathan of Nantucket, Mass. and Joseph of Penobscot; one daughter, Jaime of Penobscot; one sister and brother-in-law, Enid and Patrick White of York; one brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Cynthia Wardwell of Providence, R.I.; several nieces and nephews."
