[53290] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine]," 15 March 2023: "Wendy Joy Young passed away peacefully on Feb. 8, 2023, surrounded by family at her home in Lamoine. She was born at 12:38 a.m. on July 22, 1955, in Castine, the daughter of Winfield and Marjorie Billings. Wendy grew up in Stonington and graduated in 1973 from Ellsworth High School. She later graduated from Graceland College in Iowa, where she received her baccalaureate degree in nursing. On July 23, 1977, Wendy married F. Michael Young. Together they made their home in Dedham, Maine where they raised five wonderful children. Wendy eventually returned to nursing and worked as an RN at St. Josephs Hospital in Bangor for many years. Wendy was a warm and loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She will be sorely missed by the many folks who knew and loved her. Wendy is survived by her husband of 45 years, son Joshua and wife, Kilie, daughter Kira Young and husband, Matthew Bergin, daughter Meaghan Hawes and husband, Greg, daughter Erin Susi and husband, Nate, and son Seth and wife, Brittany. Wendy leaves behind 13 grandchildren: Noah, Lauren, Isabella, Iliana, Vivian, Maizie, Gracie, Dominick, Emilia, Kelsie, Austin, Brady and Luke. Wendy is also survived by brothers Larry, Mark, David and Scott, and sisters Susan and Becke."

[23576] Mary's ancestry is not verified - it is from the Boydstun Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2010. The town of Boydston, Texas, was named after Henry S. Boydstun. About 1887, Henry and his father, James Berry Boydstun, went from Fort Worth, TX, to the Old Clarendon (TX) area (on the north banks of the north fork of the Red River) and passed through what is now Amarillo, TXs, into northern NM; they returned to Old Clarendon where Henry filed on the first section that was completely on the plains, 18 miles northwest of Clarendon. The first filing was forfeited, but Henry filed again.

She is survived by her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Florence Collar, Mrs. Christine Collar, and Mrs. Mary Bowden, all of Castine, Mrs. Livonia Vincent of Plainsfield, Ind., and Mrs. Mary Bates of Worcester, Mass.; two sons, Alonzo Eaton of Castine and Basil Eaton of Orono; two brothers, Byron Small of Boston, Mass. and Lewell Small of Florida; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews."
