His will is as follows: 'Will of Willyam Tylle, Archdeaconry of Bedford, 19:86 f.: In the name of god Amen: The firste of January Adm 1578: I Willyam Tylle of Henlow in the countie of Beddforde husbandman, sicke of bodie but whole of minde, thanckes be unto god, doe ordaine and make this my laste will and testament , in manner & fourme followinge: Firste I committ my soule to allmightie god, and my bodie to be buried in the church yearde of Henlowe aforesaide: Imprimis I give to Robert Tille my sonne, twoe bullockes, & to John his sonne, one bullocke: Item I give unto Wilyam Warde, my sonne in lawe, twoe bullockes, one yearelinge, & an other twoe yeares oulde: Item I give unto Willyam Sheffeilde my sonne in lawe, a cowe bullocke & a bullchime.
