Stephen was born in Blue Hill on May 15, 1943, to James M. and Abigail (Gray) Astbury Sr. Stephen served eight years in the Air Force and was a member of IRA Berry Lodge in Blue Hill. He owned and operated his garage for 25 years. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Brenda, his devoted son, Skip Astbury and his significant other Doreen; his daughter Debbie Astbury and son Stephen Astbury Jr.; his brother Virgil Astbury and a favorite niece Mary as well as many other nieces and nephews; three grandsons, Seth Lucas and Brandon and Darryl Astbury. He will be missed by his constant companion and beloved dog, Brandy. Stephen was predeceased by both parents; brothers Thomas, James Jr., Roger, Clayton and Albert Gray; sisters, Isabelle, Rose and Gloria and his son Todd Astbury."
