She was the daughter of the late Hazen B. Knox and Mildred (Witham) Knox. Shirley married Morris Churchill in 1949, they were together for 53 years until his passing in 2002. She is survived by her second husband, Lloyd Bragdon of Caribou; her four children, Carolyn MacPherson and her husband, Willis, of Winslow, Gayle Dickinson and her husband, Ronnie, of Perham, Kathy Merrill and her husband, CN, of Hermon, and Dale 'Bud' Churchill and his wife, Crystal, of Smithfield; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Shirley enjoyed family, their love and laughter made her life complete. She also enjoyed working outside in her flowers, watching birds, and working with special needs children at ACAP. Shirley was a Christian woman who served her Lord and her church by being instrumental in the restoration of the stain glass windows and town clock housed at the First Baptist Church in Washburn, where she was a member for 26 years. She was most recently a member of the Lidstone Memorial United Methodist Church in Washburn. Near and dear to her heart were the children of the church, she loved bringing special treats to share with them."
