Her dedication to caring for others was evident during the years she worked as a CNA at the Presque Isle nursing home. Her compassion and willingness to care for others continued until the time of her death. Susan enjoyed listening to country music, fishing, watching baseball & harness racing and keeping in contact with family and friends via the telephone. Her many pets over the years were consider to be her 'babies' and spoiling them was her specialty. Susan is survived by her brothers Douglas (Erma) Bradstreet of Bridgewater, Keith (Linda) Bradstreet of Fort Fairfield; sisters Donna (Don) Spaulding of Easton, Vella (Gail) Griffin of Palymra; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents and infant brother, she was predeceased by her brothers Dana Bradstreet, Dale and Danny Lowe; sisters Arlene Kinney and Pauline Cronkhite; sister in law Bea Bradstreet; brothers in law Ralph Kinney Sr. and Dawson Cronkhite."

[51350] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 10 October 1931, p. 5: Following destruction of a road machine the sheriff had determined that a Mr. Butler and Willie Colson were responsible. The sheriff went that evening to the "residence of James E. Colson to arrest Mr. Colsons son Willie. Mrs. Colson said that Willie was out and that her husband had gone to Pigeon Hill. While the officers were in the house a gun-shot was heard at the back-door and it was found that the elder Colson had shot himself through the head and had died almost instantly. Medical examiner Dr. Harry O. Johnson was called and while he was making an examination, Willie Colson walked in. He was placed under arrest. He and Butler were taken to Machias jail and will be given a hearing Saturday morning The reason for the suicide of the elder Colson is a matter of conjecture - possibly he may have thought that the officers had come to arrest him which was not the fact as no warrant for him has been issued - the son being the one wanted."

"BOONE" HEICHEL, 56, of Ross Road, Bellville, died Wednesday afternoon August 31, 2005 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a short illness. He was born November 12, 1948 in Mansfield to Robert Glenn and Dorothy Mae (Farst) Heichel, was graduated from Clear Fork High School in 1966, and remained a lifelong Bellville area resident. Dan served with the U.S. Air Force, and retired with 20 years of service with the Ohio Air National Guard's 179th Air Wing. For 28 years, he worked in the General Motors plant in Ontario, most recently in the truck repair department. Dan was a life member and Past Commander of Irvin Hiskey Post #535 American Legion in Bellville, and Past Commander of Richland County American Legion Council. He also served as Past Commander of the Sons of American Legion, as well as Past District Commander of Sons of American Legion, and was a life member of William O. Naylor Post #43 AMVETS, Bellville. Dan's strong devotion to the Legion extended to the community ~ faithfully marching in holiday parades ~ exhibiting his stalwart loyalty and patriotism. He always kept busy, whether it was working around the house, mushroom hunting or gardening; or on a bowling or horseshoe pitching event. His sense of humor could always make you laugh, and his adventurous spirit led him to his favorite casino, The Mountaineer. All these activities may have captured Dan's attention, but his love for his family captured his heart. He is survived by his wife Kathy (Fry) Heichel, whom he married March 17, 1995; a son Troy Heichel of Bellville; a daughter Melanie Heichel of Bellville, a daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Shawn Davis of Fredericktown, a daughter Deborah Miller of Bellville; four grandchildren Madison Gatena, Briana Davis, Joshua Davis and Samantha Shafer; two brothers and sisters-in-law Donald and Judy Heichel of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and David and Pat Heichel of Lexington; four nephews Rob Heichel, Jim Heichel, Todd Heichel and Joe Heichel; and a large extended family."

She was the widow of John Tomaskevitch, who died in 1988. Born in Scranton, daughter of the late John and Helen Pijar Spolsky she was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School in Olyphant, and a member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church in Olyphant. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who truly enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was active in her community and served on the com-mittee of the Lackawanna County Republican Party She is survived by twin sons, Jerry and wife, Marie, Peckville; and Gary Dickson City; three grandchildren, Andrew Tomaskevitch, State College; and Max and Mercedes Phillips, Scranton; a sister, Ann Mozeleski, Dickson City; a son-in-law, Mark Phillips, Scranton; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, John 'Jackie' Tomaskevitch; a daughter, Mary "Mimi" Phillips; a daughter-in-law, Diane Tomaskevitch; and longtime companion, Joseph Chmil. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the John J. Turko & Sons Funeral Home, 404 Susquehanna Ave., Olyphant, with Divine Liturgy at 10 in SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, River Street, Olyphant, to be celebrated by the Rev. Nestor Iwasiw, pastor. Interment will follow in St. Cyril's Cemetery Peckville."
