[41155] Find A Grave Memorial 141271058 offers: "Peter died in Massachusetts, but I know he is buried here based on his death record and the following (although he was wrong about the date): 'Here between Betsey and Artimos lies Peter A. without a stone. He was about 75-80 years old when he died and this was about 1895-1900. He was known as "Ayer" because he was raised by the Ayers family.' Ralph Haynes"

[50164] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 26 March 2022": "East Machias - Ramona S. Gatcomb joined the Lord on March 22, 2022. Ramona was born in Machiasport on July 24, 1930, the daughter of Roy and Margaret (Colbeth) Sprague. She was predeceased by her parents, Roy and Margaret Sprague of Machiasport; a sister, Evelyn Smith; a daughter, Brenda Gatcomb; her loving husband, Lewis Gatcomb Sr.; and first great-grandson, Michael L.B. Townsend. Ramona lives on in the hearts of her children, Patricia and husband, John Bridges, of Machiasport and Lewis Jr. and wife, Janie Gatcomb, of Monmouth; sisters, Sandra Urqhart and Sally Alley; brother, Sammy Sprague; grandchildren, Nicholas and wife, Lauren, Devon and partner, Brandis, Derek, Jeremy and his wife, Nicole, and Matthew and his wife, Shayna; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Kyla, Aviva, Thaddius, Kaida, Cooper, Kennedy, Kaysen, MacKenzie, Tabitha and Abigail; several nieces and nephews; close friends and church family, including, Joan Gatcomb and Pauline Wood. Many knew Mona from Look's canning in Holmes Bay from years of work at the factory. Most knew her for her amazing sewing of quilts and knitting of socks, mittens and wash clothes. She loved being a Nana and caring and loving on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were her pride and joy. In her later years, Nana was the caregiver to her husband and tended to his every need. She enjoyed going quilting with the 'girls' and attending church services on Sunday. Ramona was a sweet woman with a heart of gold. She was a daughter, mother, and nana. What she couldn't heal with a hug and kiss she would heal with a baked treat. She was a connoisseur of molasses and no bake cookies."
