She retired to the life of a farmer's wife until her children were grown when she returned to work in Belfast shoe factories until retiring to their home in Swanville. She was a lifetime member of the Maine State Grange and the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed the outdoors, taking long walks and maintaining a garden. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and making hooked rugs. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband; a son, Ralph; two daughters, infant, Shirley, and Margaret Moore; a granddaughter, Karen Moore; great-grandson, Howard E. Moore II; and two brothers, Robert and Alden Hutchins. She is survived by a daughter, Sylvia Walker of Swanville; grandchildren, Carolyn Knight and husband, James, of Monroe, Harold Moore and wife, Cheryl, of Jackson, Robert Moore, David Moore and wife, Catherine, 'Mickey' McIntire and wife, Cynthia, Ralph and Kenneth Walker, all of Swanville, Janet Walker of Fort Worth, Texas, Janine Edgington and husband, Larry, of Harrison, Ark., and Alan Walker of Gray; and many great-grandchildren, great-great-granchildren, nieces, and nephews. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Lincolnville."
