Ernst, 26 North 8th street, died suddenly Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the home of his daughter, with whom he had resided for some years, the result of a stroke suffered some years ago. His death severs a marital union of 58 years, he and his wife celebrating their golden wedding anniversary in 1935. He was born in Schuylkill county Jan. 27, 1864, and resided at West Milton before taking up residence with his daughter in this community. He was a charter member of the West Milton P. O. S. of A. and a member of the White Deer Lutheran Church. In addition to his widow, Mary Paul, and daughter, Mrs. Ernst, he leaves a son, Leroy Paul, Lewisburg, R. D. 1, eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Nora Stahl, of Sabetha, Kan. Services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Dale Ranck funeral home in Milton in charge of Rev. K L. Bottiger, pastor of the Lutheran church, and interment will be in Church Hill cemetery."
