He was made a Duke in 1351. When he died he had no male heir and his wealth went to his daughter, Blanche. Blance married John of Gaunt, a son of Edward III." [44465] Judith and family are from the unverified file LQR7-PDB in 2021 in familysearch.org which reports: "Judith Metcalf was born February 6, 1765 in Wrentham, MA, the daughter of Lieut. George Metcalf. Judith came to Rindge as a girl with her parents about 1776. Judith married, December 26, 1786, Benjamin Peirce, the son of Jonas and Mary (Adams) Peirce. Judith was Benjamin's third wife, she had nine children by Benjamin to add to the four children of his by his second wife. Benjamin died November 12, 1825. Judith died September 16, 1851, aged 86 years."
