Born April 8, 1923, in Peckville, he was a 1944 graduate of Meshoppen High School and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War H, obtaining the rank of sergeant. He was the owner of the Lake View Market, Lake Winola, and a member of the Lake Winola Lions Club and Cottagers Association and the Tunkhannock Moose Lodge. Surviving are a brother, Michael, Tunkhannock; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Walter S. Rayannic; several brothers and sisters. The funeral will be Friday with services at 10 a.m. in the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, by the Rev. Duanne Gavitt, pastor, Church of the Nativity BVM, Tunkhannock. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Fairview Cemetery, Lake Winola."

He had been in failing health for several years. Mr. Reed was a retired farmer and carpenter and a member of the Salem Lutheran Church, Klingerstown RD 1. He was also a member of the Gratz Fire Co. His wife, Vertie Geist Reed, died in 1959. Surviving are the following children: Flossie, wife of Harry Reiner, Dornsife RD; Clair Reed, Carlisle RD 2; Irene, wife of Clarence Weist, Klingerstown RD; Helen, wife of Charles Bamer, and Lila, wife of Leon Geist, both of Pitman; Violet, wife of Lear Troutman, Penbrook; Mrs. Margaret Enders, Millersburg; Ethel, wife of Robert Kahler of Spring Glen; 25 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving is a brother, James A. Reed of Klingerstown. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon from Salem Lutheran Church, Klingerstown RD. Burial in the adjoining cemetery."

Berry, was 20. He married Geneva Upton on 25 March 1899, in Maine, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 1 daughter. He lived in Damariscotta, Lincoln, Maine, United States in 1920 and Camden, Knox, Maine, United States for about 10 years. In 1918, at the age of 44, his occupation is listed as foreman - wood ship construction in Newcastle, Lincoln, Massachusetts, United States. He died on 15 April 1950, at the age of 76, and was buried in Achorn Cemetery, Rockland, Knox, Maine, United States."

(1) James Patch and (2) Mark Haskell, and that Hannah was b. 1617, So. Petherton, Somersetshire, and d. in 1703 in Ipswich, MA. There are other web sites with different dates for Hannah. Weymouth's information does not include children by Mark Haskell but shows Hannah's parents as William Woodbury. b. 1589, So Petherton, Somersetshire, , d. 29 Jan 1677, Beverly, MA) and Elisabeth Patch (d. 29 Nov 1676, Beverly, MA, daughter of Nicholas Patch and Jane _____). Weymouth also states "It is supposed that William came to America with his brother John on the second voyage to the New World in 1628. William 'was the first settler on the Beverly side, having built in 1630 near what is now called Woodbury's point. (ie: Lynch Park - Beverly, MA.) He joined the church in 1639 and was admitted Freeman 2 Jun 1641. His wife joined the church in 1640. His will was dated 1 Apr 1663 and proved 26 Apr 1677.'"
