[55722] Gordon's obituary: "Gordon A. DeBeck III, 53, husband of Carrie R. (Stupak) DeBeck, passed January 28, 2024, in Portland after a brief illness. He was born April 7, 1970 in Bangor, the son of Gordon A. and Lucille (Averill) DeBeck Jr. Gordon was a1988 graduate of Hermon High School and graduated from Eastern Maine Technical College subsequently working 33 years for General Electric in Bangor. Gordon loved to learn spending a great deal of time reading and researching anything that sparked his interest including history, drag racing, political issues, or where to find the best seafood platter for dinner. He loved a lively political debate and would encourage anyone to engage. Above all, he loved time with his family and friends. One of his greatest joys were his grandchildren and spent as much time as possible with them watching the latest superhero movie, going to their games, or sitting back to listen while they told 'Pup' about their day. Surviving in addition to his wife of 28 years of Bangor are one daughter, Haley DeBeck of Fairfield; two grandchildren, Gunner and Levi of Fairfield; his parents, Gordon 'Butch' DeBeck and Lucille 'Cindy' DeBeck of Newburgh; aunts, uncles, in-laws and cousins."
