Danny was born on April 23, 1940 in Levant, Maine. Danny worked for a time at area shoe shops before working at Snow and Nealley as a shipping and receiving clerk where he worked for 23 years. Danny enjoyed the solitude of the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. He enjoying wide open spaces and was a member of the NRA. He was a devoted family man who adored his wife and cherished his children and grandchildren. He had many special people in his life.
Danny was predeceased by his parents, Norris and Gertrude and several uncles. He is survived by his beloved wife, Doris (Libby) Mayhew; son, Gary Mayhew and wife Candie and grandchildren Connor and Cameron; daughter, Dani-Lynn Modery and husband Keith and grandchildren Gage and Drake; brothers, John and Elden Mayhew and their wives Velma and Lillian; he also had many nieces, nephews and cousins."

[248] "Probate and Orphans Court Records of Snyder County, PA, 1772-1855," Dr. Charles A. Fisher, p. 39, lists Samuel as son of John Ritzman and wife Catherine. Samuel and Mary moved to Port Royal, PA and on 1 March 1865 to Ohio, settling on a farm near Uniontown. The 1850 federal census lists them and their children in Middle Creek Twp., Union (now Snyder) Co., PA and states Samuel owned 1200 acres. The 1870 federal census lists the family in Springfield Twp., Summit Co., OH.

Mrs. Sellman, a native of Cleveland, had lived in Kent most of her life. She was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star. She leaves her son P. G. Sellman Jr., Kent; daughter Mrs. Treva Heichel, Sturgis, Mich. ; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Graveside services will be at 2 p. m. today at Standing Rock cemetery."
