Jonathan Mitchell's Regiment as having served July 7 to Sept. 25, 1779. Also Capt. John Reed's Co., Col. Samuel McCobb's Regt. Enlisted 8 Aug. 1781, Discharged 1 December 1781. Service in defense of seacoast. - Mass. Sailors and Soldiers, VIII:646."
