[42919] Mary's birth year is from her grave marker. In 2017 the unverified Alandar-Olsen tree in Ancestry.com offers: When Mary Kitner Brunner was born on April 6, 1818, in Perry, Pennsylvania, her father, Abraham, was 51, and her mother, Mary, was 51. She married George Bothwell on March 19, 1839. They had eight children in 18 years. She died on January 31, 1892, in her hometown at the age of 73, and was buried in Duncannon, Pennsylvania. "The Perry County Democrat [Bloomfield, PA], 10 February 1892," p. 3: "On Sunday morning about four o'clock Mrs. Mary Bothwell died at the residence of her son-in-law, Martin Hiltner, in Penn township, after lingering illness of about nine months. For over fifty years she was a consistent member of the M. E. church in this place. By her death the church loses a faithful servant, her children a loving mother, and the community a valued friend. She was the mother of 9 children, 7 of whom survive her; 23 grand children and 4 great grand children. She was aged 73 years, 9 months and 25 days. Services were held at the house of Mr. Hiltner by the Reverends Hoke and Lightner. Her pall-bearers were her sons Ebert, William, John and Emory and her sons-in-law, M. J. Derick and William C. Brown. Her remains were interred in the Methodist Cemetery, followed by many friends, to see the last sad rites performed over their departed friend."
