[22306] http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/HUNGARY.htmoffers in 2007: "Possible relative of the kings of Hungary, precise relationship not known: Hedwig of Hungary. The Chronicle of Gaimar, written in [1155], contains a confusing account of the 'elder ætheling Edgar' (presumably an error for Edmund) having a love affair with the daughter of the king of Hungary who became pregnant and whom he married, and by whom he was the father of Queen Margaret of Scotland. The Chronicle of Ailred, abbot of Rievaulx, also refers to Edmund having married the daughter of the Hungarian king. Edmund's wife is named Hedwig in Burke's Guide to the Royal Family, although the primary source on which this is based has not been identified. In the absence of further information, the accuracy of these reports must be considered dubious as none of the Hungarian kings during the first half of the 11th century provides an obvious match. In the case of King István, it is likely that all his daughters predeceased their father in view of the accession of his nephew, King Péter, when he died. In any case, his daughters would have been beyond child-bearing age when the ætheling Edmund arrived in Hungary, assuming this arrival took place in [1046] as is probable. As the ætheling brothers were closely linked to King András I, it is unlikely that Edmund would have married a daughter of either of his disgraced predecessors King Péter or King Samuel Aba, and any daughters of the former at least would have been too young for such a marriage. Finally, any daughters of King András himself would certainly have been too young for the marriage. There is therefore considerable doubt about the historical authenticity of this Hungarian princess or her marriage to Edmund. m Edmund of England, son of Edmund 'Ironsides' King of England & his wife Ældgyth --- (1016-before 1054)." [34126] "The Parker Message [Parker, Kansas], 15 July 1910," p. 1: "Mrs. Susannah Nolin died last Sunday at the home of her son, I. E. Nolin, three miles and a half northeast of Parker. She was in the 88th year of her life and had been in feeble health for some time. Susannah Kershner was born in Green County, Ohio, March 16, 1823. Her parents moved to Indiana when she was about nine years old. At the age of twenty she was married to Isaac Nolin, and to this union, twelve children were born, six of whom have passed on to the better land. The six who are left to mourn her departure are: I. E. and A. L. Nolin and Mrs. Nettie Poole of Parker; Mrs. Mary Lynam of Joplin, Mo.; Wm Nolin of Albion, Washington, and T. M. Nolin of Santa Monica, Cal. At an early age she joined the Dunkard church, which faith she cherished until the end. On May 10, 1871, with their family, they started overland to Kansas, arriving at their Liberty township home June 12th of that year. Here she faithfully bore the hardships of a pioneer life, and where she lived until November, 1902, when she went to live with her son I, E. Nolin. Her husband departed this life Oct. 13, 1899. In addition to the sons and daughters mentioned she is survived by 29 grandchildren, 15 great grand children and 1 great great grandchild. The funeral was held from the home Wednesday morning and was largely attended. Rev. Kephart conducted the funeral services, after which the body was laid to rest in the Cadmus cemetery."
