"News-Journal [Mansfield, Ohio], 6 January 1904," p. 2: "Alexander Houser died at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning at 178 South Foster street after having been ill a long time with a complication of diseases. Mr. Houser was 54 years of age, is survived by a wife and one daughter, Mrs. William Fleck, of this city. He also has a sister and four brothers, the whereabouts of some being unknown. Mr. Houser was born in Ashland and was a moulder by trade. Funeral Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. W. Arter Wright, of the Methodibt church, officiating."
