He and Isabel were buried at Saltre Abbey, near Stilton, Essex. Robert the 'Noble' d. 1245, m. Isabella of Huntingdon d. 1252, through whom King Robert Bruce's right to the throne derived. He married Margaret Cuppy [nee Parker] in 1754 in Morris, New Jersey. They had nine [known] children in 23 years. He died in September 1802 in Brooke, West Virginia, at the age of 72. When Margaret Cuppy [nee Parker] was born in 1736 in Morristown, New Jersey, her father, John, was 20, and her mother, Elizabeth, was 42. . . . . She died in December 1816 in Brooke, West Virginia, having lived a long life of 80 years."

Born Feb. 22, 1928, she was the only daughter of the late Estel and Hila (Lyons) Eldredge. Katherine, a graduate of Morenci High School, was a lifelong resident of Morenci. She was a 39-year employee of the former A&P Company, and worked at several stores in the regional district, including the Morenci store. She was the very first female manager in the district, and she retired in 1991. Katherine had a lifelong love of learning, and took several correspondence courses over the years, of which included obtaining her license to sell real estate. Katherine was a long-time member of the Morenci First Congregational Church and served the church in many capacities, including church treasurer and her current role as a member of its board of trustees. She also served previously as president of the church's Ladies Union. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a supportive member of the Friends of Stair District Library, and also served on its board. A beloved mother and grandmother, Katherine is remembered for her love of reading, which she passed down through the generations of her family. She also enjoyed sewing. Surviving are her son, William J. (Fleurette Slayton) of Morenci; daughter, Patricia (Dwight) Houttekier of Morenci; five grandchildren, Michael (Maria) Wagner, Diane (Carmen) Moliterno, Kristina (Eric) DeMeritt, Kandice Jarrell and Billi Jo (Arthur) Erbskorn; 11 great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and her beloved feline companion, Patches. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Francis "Pappy" Eldredge and Sgt. Major Thomas Eldredge; two great-grandchildren, Atlee and Chaney DeMeritt; and the love of her life, Larry Disbrow."
