[51701] Charles' obituary: "Prospect Harbor - Charles B. Stinson passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at the age of 91. He was born on November 27, 1930, in Bangor, Maine, a son of the late Calvin L. Stinson Sr., and the late Marion (Harding) Stinson of Prospect Harbor, Maine. Charles graduated from Higgins Classical Institute and Husson College with a business degree. He was married to his beloved late wife, Orice, for 61 years. Charles was a member of the United States Armed Forces, serving in the Korean War. After completing military duty, he returned home to work in the family business, as President of Stinson Canning Company. He was a member of both the Maine Sardine Council and the ICNAF Council where he worked diligently with the U.S. Government on the implementation of the 200 Mile Limit for the purpose of keeping foreign fishing vessels out of those waters, allowing only American vessels to harvest the area. Charles was a very generous, kind man who enjoyed traveling, flying his own plane, and was an avid outdoorsman, but more than anything else, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Charles is survived by daughters, Katharyn S. Wayman and husband, Craig, of Prospect Harbor, and Cynthia S. Webber and husband, Dwayne, of Blue Hill; grandchildren, Craig Wayman III of Manhattan, New York, and Lynsee Wayman of Prospect Harbor, Michelle Webber and Matthew Webber of Blue Hill; sister-in-law, Ilene Stinson; brother-in-law, Arnold Francis; brother-in-law, Wesley Bunker and partner, Judy; and many nieces and nephews.
