[57198] Margaret is daughter of Richard McLennan (1883-1934) & Nellie Grant Robertson (1888-1963; m. 22 August 1911 in Churchville, Pictou Co., Nova Scotia). "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 27 October 2008: "Bangor - Margaret Cleaves Theriault, 93, passed away peacefully Oct. 25, 2008, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born Feb. 11, 1915, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Richard and Nellie (Robertson) McLennan. She graduated from Fort Kent High School in 1933 and received her teaching degree from Fort Kent Normal School, now the University of Maine -Fort Kent. While living in Fort Kent she met Frank Cleaves, whom she married in 1939. She moved to Addison with him. While in Addison she became a member and past matron of Order of the Easter Star, Wiscogus Chapter No. 101. Margaret moved to Holden in 1957 and attended Holden Congregational Church for many years. She enjoyed cooking, knitting mittens for her grandchildren and reading. Margaret was a very positive person, who always had an optimistic outlook on life. She is survived by two daughters, Donna M. Boober and her husband, James, of Spring Hill, Fla., and Mary R. Young and her husband, David, of Veazie; daughter-in-law, Gertrude Cleaves of Addison; sister-in-law, Helen McLennan of Presque Isle; granddaughters, Erika M. Cleaves-Schoppe of Cherryfield and Heather A. Friedman of Veazie; grandsons, J. Allan Boober of Brewer, Gregory R. Boober of Spring Hill, Fla., and William R. Cleaves Jr. of Columbia Falls; eight stepgrandchildren, C. Kenneth Giger, Raymond Giger, Carmen Snyder, Jacqueline Newingham, Ramona Dorr, Pamela Huntington, Donna Stanwood and Tina Seeley; eight great-grandchildren, several special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands, Frank D. Cleaves in 1971 and Theodore Theriault in 1987; her son, William R. Cleaves; her sister, Mary Parsons; and her brother, Richard McLennan. Margaret's family thanks Community Health and Counseling Services Hospice Program staff and volunteers for all their support and comfort for her and her family, as well as the staff of Bangor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for all their care. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at Church Hill Cemetery, Addison . . ."
