[51062] Find A Grave memorial 113888750 offers: "Maria's parents were Francis Haskell II 'Captain Frank' and Phebe Carman of Deer Isle, ME. She was a twin to brother George Washington Haskell of Deer Isle, ME and Holliston, MA. Isaiah Pickering was Maria's first husband and they filed their intention to marry on June 20, 1847. Isaiah and Maria are both buried in the Old Settlers Cemetery. Isaiah was a Fisherman and he left Maria with 5 children when he died. Soon after Isaiah's death, Maria married John Pickering, Isaiah's older brother and they had two children. He was also a fisherman in Mountainville, formerly Bray's Mountain. They lived across the cove called Pickering's Cove, which was named for him. This is where John died in 1875. Maria married Jessie Bray of Deer Isle; they divorced in October 1880 Maria lived with their son John Pickering Jr. in Mountainville - Maria purchased a house and 30 acres of land in Mountainville for $200.00. Her son John sold it around 1948. The barn is still standing. John told his daughter Edith Marshall that his mother Maria, at one time, ran a boarding house at the Old Settlement Quarry in Oceanville, Maine. She died of apoplexy (sudden death)at age 70 years, 10 months, 13 days."

She married George Washington Wagner and they had seven children together. She then married William Lincoln Lietzel and they had one daughter together. She died in 1943 in her hometown at the age of 66, and was buried in Northumberland, Pennsylvania.
