[54103] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 3 April 2000, p. 15: "Lisbon Falls and Houlton - Rosetta Ann (Foster) Watson, 80, died March 29, 2000 with her family by her side. She was born Jan. 23, 1920 in Monticello, the daughter of Percy and Daisy (McLaughlin) Foster. Her family moved to Ludlow where she enjoyed working on her father's farm for many years. She graduated from Houlton High School in 1939. She continued her education focusing on typing and bookkeeping. On Nov. 30, 1939 she was wed to Tesla M. Watson, son of Mancer and Ida (Stewart) Watson of Ludlow. In the 1960s she worked for Maine Tater State in Washburn and the Aroostook Shoe Company in Presque Isle. In the 1970s she worked at the Maine State Armory in Houlton. She was a member for 60 years of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, serving as secretary, clerk, superintendent and treasurer for eight years in Oakfield. She was truly a dedicated mother and grandmother above all and will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years; two sisters, Bertha Parent and Tessa Seeley; and her daughter, Celesta Watson Bishop. She is survived by one son, Lane Averill and his wife, Rosemary McPherson Watson of Ludlow; one daughter, Twila and her husband, David Lycette of Lisbon Falls; one grandson and three granddaughters, Kristie Alane Watson of Presque Isle, Dawn Marie Watson and Nichoel Emily Watson of Ludlow; two nephews, Hal and Hayden Seeley and one niece, Dilonna and her husband, Steve Coran."
