[55701] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 3 February 2024: "Portland - On January 27, 2024, I received the greatest miracle from my heavenly father as I passed over into his spiritual kingdom and I am now with my beloved soulmate, Cody, and all our love ones called before me. To all my family still enjoying God's beautiful earth, know that I will be watching over you and I will see you all again. I was born in Bangor, Maine, to the late Eugene and Lucy Gardner. Besides my parents, I was predeceased by my soulmate, Cody Sherman Sr.; and my ex-husband and good friend, James W. Fredericks. My career started in customer service with a Bangor company, and then I transferred to their Portland location. While we were building our new home in Gorham, I started a new career in the printing industry and worked my way into management with that company. I continued in management with one other company before making one last career move into human resources. Then, thirteen years later in 2013 I retired. Cody had retired in 2012, so together we enjoyed the great outdoors, from biking, hiking, and the many beaches. Cody and I both had a love for music, and we wrote many songs together. Our home was always filled with the sound of drums, guitars, singing, and much laughter. But mostly we treasured every moment of family time with all our kids and grandkids. Surviving me are my three sons, Tom, wife, Stacia and their son; and Troy, wife, Jessica, and their three sons; and Nathan, ex-wife, Becky and their two sons. In addition are Cody's children: a son, Cody Jr.; and a daughter, Kelley and husband, Jeffrey, and their three sons; siblings, Gail Pelkey, Jean Achorn and Gary Gardner; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends. As per my request, only a private family burial will be held. My ashes will be buried with partial ashes of Cody Sr., and will be placed in Evergreen Cemetery in Portland, Maine. A special thanks to all the staff at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, Scarborough, Maine.

[22810] Her four children were all baptised 26 March 1693 according to http://wolves.dsc.k12.ar.us/cyberace/sbgone/gen/fam1/fabyan/johnsr.htm - John, Joseph, Samuel and Sarah; this web site reports that she is daughter of John Hall (b. in London, England, will proved in Greenland, NH 23 July 1696) and wife Elizabeth _____. Ancestry.com offers: "Hall Name Meaning - English, Scottish, Irish, German, and Scandinavian: from Middle English hall (Old English heall), Middle High German halle, Old Norse holl all meaning 'hall' (a spacious residence), hence a topographic name for someone who lived in or near a hall or an occupational name for a servant employed at a hall. In some cases it may be a habitational name from places named with this word, which in some parts of Germany and Austria in the Middle Ages also denoted a salt mine. The English name has been established in Ireland since the Middle Ages, and, according to MacLysaght, has become numerous in Ulster since the 17th century."
[56513] Susannah is daughter of Ezekiel Kent (1705-1770) & Susanna Bryant (1714-1800).
[18306] Walter is son of Henry Exeter North and Mary A. Roberts. Henry's middle name may be Exner instead, as Exner occured as a name earlier in the line. For this family, see "Descendants of Caleb North," by Dexter North. Ancestry.com offers: "North Name Meaning - English: topographic name, from Middle English north north, for someone who lived in the northern part of a village or to the north of a main settlement (compare Norrington 1), or a regional name for someone who had migrated from the north. Compare Norris 1. Irish: regional name for someone from Ulster, the northern area of Ireland, in part as an Anglicized form of Gaelic Mac an Ultaigh (see McNulty) or (in Westmeath) of Ultach. German: from a short form of a Germanic personal name composed with a cognate of Old High German nord north."
