[24070] http://www.whipple.org/earliestwhipples.html reports: "Matthew's will refers to his "sister, wife of Richard Rathbone." Walter and Ella Greene identify her as Marion Whipple, a younger sister of Matthew, in their book "A Greene Family History" (Schenectady, N.Y.: Walter Anson Greene, c1981), p. 71. Marion, her husband and children settled in New England in about 1621, making her the earliest Whipple in America."
