She was born Oct. 27, 1921 at Bradford, the daughter of Leigh and Stella (Williams) Strout. She was educated in the Bradford schools and was Valedictorian of Bradford High School, Class of 1939. On Nov. 9, 1940, she married her devoted husband, Clifton B. Miles, Jr., who predeceased her by eight months. They had celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary in November of 1992. Rsbeoca was a homemaker and also worked as a teacher's aide at the Hudson Elementary School for eight years; substitute postmistress at the Hudson Post Office for six years; town health officer for more than 20 years; an election clerk for 16 years; and was active in the parent-teacher association. Since retiremerit she and Clifton had continued enjoying gardening, traveling, being active m the community, and had devoted their lives to their family. She was a 50-year member of the Golden Age Rebekah Lodge No. 45, was tablet Deputy, had received the Degree of Chivalry, and also received numerous badges for her participation on the installing team. She was a member of the Past Noble Grand Association and was an active member of the Hudson Grange, Penobscot Pomona, Maine State and National Grange, and the local senior citizens club. She is survived by her two sons, Ronald and his wife, Donna of Stetson, Darrell and his wife' Edith of Dover-Foxcroft; four daughters' Darlene Miles, Brenda and her husband, Albert 'Ray' Willette of Hudson, Sylvia and her, husband Richard Crosman of New Hampshire, Sheila and her husband, Kevin Wasson of Bradford; 15 grandchildren, Sheryl and her husband, Patrick Martstany of Gray, Lisa and her husband, Stuart Bullard of Bangor, Sonya Miles of Virginia, Lori and her husband, Alan Perry of Etna, Ronald, Jr. and his wife, Kane Miles of Missouri, Michelle and her husband, Christopher Carr of Millinocket, Lance Corporal Shawn Willette of North Carolina, Ricky Hanson, Teddy Hanson and Shannon Waadon of Bradford, David and Jessica Crosman of New Hampshire, William, Judy and Dane Miles of Dover-Foxcroft; four great-grandchildren, Shelby, Perry, Daniel Bullard, Paige Miles and Samantha Maristany. She is also survived by one brother, Warren and his wife, Lillian Strout of Bradford; three sisters, Geneva and her husbend, Philip Allen of Bradford, Roberta and her husband, Lester Bean of Bradford, Joyce Mailman of Bradford; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Robert Strout of Bradford, November, 1990."
