She married Charles Asa 'Charlie' Hemmenway on October 16, 1888, in Cook, Illinois. They had five children in 11 years. She died on November 25, 1944, in Seattle, Washington, at the age of 81." Mabel attended Kalamazoo College, Kalamazoo, MI earning the Ph.B. degree in 1888.
