She was a noted author and 30 year resident of the Pompano/Deerlield Beach area, died in her home in Deerfield Beach, January 7, 1987, after a short Illness. She wrote many murder mysteries for publishers, Farrar and Rinehart of NY City. She was also published in Penquin Books, Bantam Books, The Detectives Book Club, The Mystery Club Guild and for the Armed Servicea of the U.S.A., as well as, serialized in the Woman's Home Companion Magazine. In addition, her work was published in seven countries and five languages overseas and in braille. Some of her better known works were entitled, A Body For Bill, Never Say Die, Head Over Heals In Murder, As Long As I Live, Ready Or Not, Murder Well Done, The Dark Arbor and Pattern For Murder. Formerly of Akron, OH, Mrs. Shriber is survived by her daugher and son-in-law, Stephanie and Marvin B. Ellis, of Boca Raton, FL; granddaughter, Loraine B. Ellis, of Boston, MA; sisters, Eleanor Farmer, of Cleveland, OH. Betty Rogers, of Port St. Lucie, FL; brother, Robert L. Sandberg, of Akron, OH. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth W. Shriber, who died In July of 1986, and her son, Kenneth (Skip) Shriber, Jr., of Akron, OH. Mrs. Shriber was born in Akron, OH, on September 28, 1911. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Axel L. Sandberg, were long time residents of Akron and Mr. Sandberg was the founder of the Waldorf Ice Cream Factory. Mrs. Shriber was member of The Junior League, listed In Who's Who In America, Women's Auxiliary of Broward Hospital, Women's Auxilllary of Akron General Hospital and several Bridge Groups in Boca Raton to Miami, FL with a book full of Master Points."
