"The Selinsgrove Times-Tribune [Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania], 3 Jan 1918, p. 6: "Mrs. Catherine Snyder, nee Geist, died in Philadelphia, December 22, 1917, while visiting her son Elwood, of that place. She had accompanied her daughter-in-law to church and fell over dead in the house of worship, Mrs. Snyder was born at Uniontown, Dauphin county, September 13, 1847, and was aged 70 years, 3 months and 9 days. Four children Eugene, of Akron, O.: Elwood, of Philadelphia; Jerre, of Port 'Trevorton, and Mrs. Martha Heiser, of Cleveland; eleven grandchildren and a host of friends survive to mourn her loss. Mrs. Snyder was a former resident; of Selinsgrove, where her husband, Daniel Snyder died about a year ago, and since then she has been making her home with her children. Funeral services were held at the home of her son Jerre, at Port Trevorton, Thursday morning, December 27th, at 10 o'clock, Rev. C. A. Fray, assisted by Rev. H, E. House, officiated."

She was born in North Jay Maine, on January 7, 1923, the daughter of Pietro and Esolina (Scalettie) Vangelli. She attended schools in North Jay, and graduated from Stonington High School. Patricia married James Gray Jr. in 1942, and they settled down in Stonington. While in Stonington she drove a school bus, and cooked professionally. She was truly a 'good cook' demonstrating expert skill in whatever kitchen she found herself in. She also enjoyed gardening. Around 1970, Patricia and James moved to Saco, and she worked for Corning for 15 years, retiring in 1982. After retirement they moved to The Pines at Ocean Park. She was predeceased by her husband James of 52 years, in 1994. She was also predeceased by her two brothers Emelio, and Pete Vangelli. She is survived by her two children, Michael Gray and his wife Mary Lou of Saco, and Rosemary Pelletier and her husband Wayne of Bangor; her three grandchildren, Stephen Gray of Biddeford, Scott Pelletier and his wife Wendy of Carmel, and James and his wife Julie of Holden; and her four great grandchildren, Lindsay, Reece, Dominick and Robby."

Just prior to her death and surrounded by her family, the Rev Richard Ruff, performed a service of commendation. She was born on March 11, 1926 in Lower Mifflin Township, a daughter of Mervin H. and Sadie M. Brown Warner. Bessie celebrated 60 years of marriage with Elmer E. Clouse on June 14, 2007. She was a graduate of Newville High School, Class of 1942, and Carlisle Commercial College. In 1972, she began working at the Cumberland County Court House in voter registration. In 1973, she began work in the County Assesment office and in 1980, she was made supervisor of data processing for assessment. She retired from that position in 1994. She was always ready to pack up and travel and especially enjoyed trips to Europe, Jamaica, Martinique, the American West and Cape May. She was a life-long member of Center Lutheran Church, where she was a long-time Sunday school teacher, served on the church council and the altar guild. She always enjoyed taking vases of her cut flowers to church. In 2006, she joined the newly formed Big Spring United Lutheran Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons, Jerry A. of Hummelstown and Randy E. (husband of, Char) of Carlisle; her two daughters, Carla D. Fishel (wife of Ted) of Dillsburg and Suelyn D. Reisinger (wife of Larry II) of Carlisle; three grandchildren, Jeremy A. Fishel, Hannah P. Reisinger and Harrison A. Reisinger; and three great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathan A. Fishel a sister, Vernal C. Swartz and a brother, Garlin B. Warner."
