Upon his discharge he worked for the FBI, the Penobscot County Sheriff's Department then he owned and operated several small businesses in Brewer prior to his retirement. Bob was a member of Rising Sun Masonic Lodge # 71 of Orland and Anah Shrine where he was a member of the motorcycle corp. He was a member of the American Legion Post #178. Bob was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone he knew. He was always thinking of others. He was one of a kind and will be dearly missed. Bob was predeceased by his wife Patricia (Hall) Hutchins and two sisters Evelyn Palfrey and Edna Gilbert. Surviving are one daughter, Rebecca Achorn; two grandsons, Robert Achorn and his wife, Darci and Aaron Achorn; two great-grandchildren Mason and Avery; and one nephew, Robert Gilbert. A private burial will be held in the spring."

He succeeded his father in 1025 as Mieszko II King of Poland. He launched raids on the territory of the Ostmark in 1030, devastating hundreds of villages. A German-Russian coalition defeated King Mieszko in 1030, conquered territory, divided what remained of Poland between members of the Piast dynasty and forced the king to send his crown to Germany. The country descended into civil war. The necrology of Merseburg records the death '10 May' of 'Lanpertus sive Misico dux poloniorum'. - m ([1013], [divorced]) Richeza, daughter of Ezzo Pfalzgraf of Lotharingia & his wife Mathilde of Germany (-21 Mar 1063, bur Köln St Maria ad gradus). 'Heinricus . . . Romanorum imperator augustus' confirmed the foundation of Kloster Brauweiler by charter dated 18 Jul 1051 which names 'Richeza regina quondam Poleniæ . . . pro remedio anime sue fratrisque sui beate memorie Ottonis ducis aliorumque parentum suorum in monasterio Brunwilarensi sepultorum . . . .per manum Heinrici palatini comitis filii patrui sui' and witnessed by 'Heinricus comes palatinus, Sicco comes, Starchri comes . . .'. [49198] Find A Grave memorial 5679385 offers: "Peter Gunnarson Rambo of the New Sweden Colony was a long time Magistrate of the Upland Court, Pennsylvania's first governing and judicial body. Rambo served 27 years in various positions under the Swedish, Dutch and English governments. Under the English he was a Commissioner of the Delaware, a member of the Governor's Council and a Councillor to the Duke of York. Revered among the Colonial Swedes and Finns who first settled the Delaware Valley, Peter Rambo was among the welcoming delegation who greeted William Penn when the Great Proprietor landed at Upland, now, Chester, Pa. Upon his death in 1698, Peter Rambo was buried among other Swedes next to the log cabin church at Wicaco, now Philadelphia. The funeral service was delived by The Rev. Andreas Rudman, who that year married Peter Rambo's granddaughter, Elizabeth Mattson. When the present Gloria Dei (Old Swedes) Church was built in 1700, Peter Rambo's grave was undisturbed by the construction. However, the structure's weight caused the walls to buldge and north and south porticos were built to strenghten the church structure. It was decided to leave the adjacent old graves intact and build the porch foundation around them. As result, Peter Rambo's grave is within the walls of Gloria Dei Church, as is his fellow Magistrate and kinsman,Peter Larson Cock.
