[31324] Richard arrived in New England in 1636. He m. in Springfield, MA 29 June 1643 Mary Winch (b. 1614 in Bocking, Co. Essex, England, d. 1682 in Dedham, MA). "New England Families, Genealogical and Memorial" by William Richard Cutter (1914) offers: "Richard Everett or Evred as the name was often spelled was born in England and came to this country it is believed with William Pynchon in whose employ he was for several years. He was one of the first settlers of Springfield in 1636 and August 16 1636 was one of the proprietors of Dedham, Massachusetts. He was a trader. He married June 29 1633 Mary Winch who came to New England at the age of fifteen in the ship Francis of Ipswich England in the family of Rowland Stebbins who settled at Dedham. Richard Everett was admitted to the Dedham church March 6 1646 and his children were baptized Alarch 13 1646. He was admitted a freeman May 6 1646. He was first on the tax list in 1648 and third in 1660 showing that he was a man of property. In 1650-51 he was highway surveyor, in 1650-51-52-53 constable, in 1650-51 selectman, and he served on many town committees. He died July 3 1682 and his will was dated May 12 1680."

"The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 7 September 1956," p. 27: "Harold W. Lord, 65, died Thursday morning at a local hospital after a short illness. He was born in Brewer, the son of John and Mary (Lyman) Lord, and had been a resident there for many years. Mr. Lord was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Brewer and was a 32nd degree Mason of St Andrew's Lodge, F. and A. M. of Bangor. He was a certified public accountant having served a state bank examiner for many years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Lord of Brewer; one daughter, Mrs Carrol White of Caribou; five sos, Robert N. Lord and Harold W. Lord Jr. of Brewer Urban N. Lord of Orrington, Richard N. Lord of Fort Fairfield, Kenneston W Lord of Wallingford Conn.; two brothers, Leeman Lord of Brewer and Royee Lord of Bangor; several aunts, uncles nieces and nephews."
