Margaret Clarell married Sir Robert Waterton, Master of the Horse and Hounds, Bailiff of Hatfield, Keeper of Pontefract Castle, son of Robert Waterton, Esquire, Master of the Horse and Hounds, Keeper of Pontefract Castle, Bailiff of Hatfield and Cecily Fleming, in 1422. Margaret Clarell for the third time got married with Sir William Gascoigne, Sheriff of Yorkshire, son of Sir William Gascoigne and Jane Wyman, before 7 February 7, 1426. Burgess, 84, passed away on September 12, 2024, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center with her family by her side. Leila was born in South Penobscot, Maine, on September 2, 1940, the daughter of the late Boyd and Adeline Marks. Leila attended Orland schools and graduated from Bucksport High School, class of 1959. Leila graduated from the University of Maine, class of 1963, with a degree in education. Upon graduation she taught briefly in Limestone and Orono, and spent the rest of her teaching career at Bucksport High School. At BHS she started in the gym as a PE instructor, later moving into the math dept until her retirement in 1997. Leila coached girls' basketball and softball while at BHS leading her teams to a number of PVC titles. In 2011 Leila was inducted into the Bucksport High School Academic Hall of Fame and the Athletic Hall of Fame. Leila also was the President of the Bucksport Teachers Association for 12 years. Throughout her life Leila enjoyed playing and watching sports, beginning in school playing basketball and softball at BHS and later playing golf and following the Red Sox, UMaine Women's Basketball and the U Conn Women's Basketball teams. Leila is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ralph Burgess; son, David Burgess; sister, Joanne Pierce; and grandson, Justin and his girlfriend, Sarra. She is also survived by her cousins; many beloved friends; the girls from "Club"; and Linda Burgess."

Born in Plymouth, Nov. 21, 1900, he was a life resident of the borough. He was employed as a miner for 35 years and was an investigator for the Pennsylvania Workman's Compensation Board, retiring in 1973. He was a Democratic ward leader for several years. He was a member of St. Casimir's Church, Hanover Township. Surviving are, his wife, the former Marian Humphrey; a son, Walter, Hunlock Creek; two grandchildren; brothers, Charles, New Britain, Conn.; Albert, Boston, Mass.; sister, Mrs. Anna Prushinski, Nanticoke. Funeral will be Tuesday at 9 from Mary P. Kievitz Funeral Home, 163 E. Broad St., Nanticoke. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Casimir's Church at 9:30. Interment in St. John the Baptist Slovak Cemetery, Glen Lyon."
