[45182] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 11 Setember 1964, p. 14: "Lincoln - Gerrish M. Murchison, 68, died at his home suddenly Wednesday. He was born at Lee October 4, 1895, son of Roderick and Olive (Hanscom) Murchison. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of Carl Burrill Post, American Legion for 35 years, a member of Valley Birthday Club of Lee and Methodist Church of Lincoln. Surviving are his widow Edna; two sons, Alton of Bangor and Henry of Lincoln; two daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Farrell of Veazie and Mrs. Gladys Smith of Lincoln; two brothers, Donald of Lincoln, Levi of Lee; 10 grandchildren." Gerrish served as a Private in the U. S. Army infantry during World War I.
