She was born August 10, 1924, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Henry A. and Lilla (Pennington) Bell. Frances loved to attend the pony pulls and travelled around to agricultural fairs in Maine with her husband, Dwight, for many years. Frances graduated from Brownville High School in 1943. In 1945, she married Dwight Strout. Frances worked at Dover Telephone Co. and retired from Dexter Shoe. They raised their 6 girls on the Dexter Road. Frances enjoyed a few years at Thayer Parkway before moving to Pleasant Meadows Estates. Our family would like to thank everyone at Pleasant Meadows for the wonderful care and comfort provided by the staff. In addition to her loving husband for many years, Dwight, Frances was predeceased by her daughters, Rachel Berce and Donna Mallett; grandson, Billy Mallet; and siblings, Donald Bell, Phillip Bell, and Myrtle Thompson. She is survived by her daughters, Beverly LaCroix and her husband, Larry, Joanne Sincyr and her husband, Jack, Lindy Warren, and Cindy Curran and her husband, Peter; grandchildren, Eric, Dawn, Debbie, David, Dani, Jason, Nicole, Becky, and Ryan; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren."
