He married Cleva Jean Ressler on May 6, 1930. . . . . He died on April 26, 1975, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the age of 65, and was buried in Bala-Cynwyd, Pennsylvania." "The Newark Advocate [Newark, Ohio], 30 April 1975," p. 35: "Services for Raymond N. Barber, 65, of 519 S. 42nd St., Philadelphia, Pa., formerly of Granville, will be 10 a.m. Friday in the Bringhurst-Andrew J. Bair Funeral Home, Philadelphia, with burial to follow in the W. Laurel Cemetery, Philadelphia. Mr. Barber died Saturday in Philadelphia. He was born May 9, 1909, in Granville, to Stewart and Fannie (Boyles) Barber. He was a retired employe of the Union Tank Co. Surviving are his wife, Helen of Philadelphia; two daughters: Mrs. Barbara Vaia and Mrs. Linda Harmon, both of Alexandria; one brother, Bernard of Newark; and seven grandchildren."
